Wood Provenance

Reclaimed Burmese Teak

This now scarce timber was sadly harvested to virtual extinction in the first half of the twentieth century. It was prized for its uniform density and colour and was mostly imported into the UK via London and Bristol. This wood was reclaimed from the countertops which once graced the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries in Bristol.
