The calendar is easy to use with instructions engraved on to the face of the quality brass instrument, which itself is set into the hand turned teak frame. By simply turning the dial you will find dates, including days, months and years for the next 40 years.
Wood Provenance
Reclaimed Burmese Teak
This now scarce timber was sadly harvested to virtual extinction in the first half of the twentieth century. It was prized for its uniform density and colour and was mostly imported into the UK via London and Bristol. This wood was reclaimed from the countertops which once graced the Physics and Chemistry labs at Trowbridge Girls' School.
