Each smoking dragon is carved by hand from a single block of wood and hollowed out underneath to form a chamber. To use, place a cone on the small holder supplied inside the Satya incense pack, light it, and set the dragon over the top. The rising smoke is funnelled up through carved channels in the nostrils — giving the convincing impression that the dragon is breathing it out.
This is the largest of our three smoking dragons, and the extra size gives the carver room to bring out detail: deeper scales down the back, more pronounced claws, a fully curled tail, and the most expressive face of the three. At 14.5 cm square it has real presence on a mantelpiece, hearth or sideboard, and the bigger chamber means a longer, more generous trail of smoke.
