Each smoking dragon is carved by hand from a single block of wood and hollowed out underneath to form a chamber. To use, place a cone on the small holder supplied inside the Satya incense pack, light it, and set the dragon over the top. The rising smoke is funnelled up through carved channels in the nostrils — giving the convincing impression that the dragon is breathing it out.
This is the mid-sized of our three smoking dragons — large enough for the carving detail to really show, but still discreet enough for a mantelpiece, side table or hearth. Scales run down the back, the feet are clawed, the tail curls round, and the face has real character that varies from piece to piece since each one is finished by a different hand.
