What are these coastal wood carvings?

The collection spans two carving styles. Most pieces are three-dimensional sculptures: a dolphin arching off a wave base, a shark with fins spread and jaw open, a sea turtle with flippers extended and a faceted hexagonal shell pattern. Two pieces work found materials into the design: a seagull with a white painted body and grey wings mounted on driftwood and hung from jute cord strung with pebbles, and a round fish painted in crackled bands of slate, orange and olive, balanced on a stacked driftwood column.

The relief plaques depict whales and fish, their cut lines running like waves across the surface. All pieces are carved and finished by hand in Bali, which means grain and detail vary between individual carvings. The smallest pieces start at £5.50.
