What are these wooden musical instruments?

The frog guiros are carved from acacia or rain tree wood in northern Thailand. Each one is hollow underneath with a row of ridges cut down its back. Run the stick along those ridges and it croaks like the real thing, a sound that carries and surprises. They come in three sizes, from mini to medium, either left plain or finished in crackle-painted rainbow colours.

The djembe drums are turned and carved from a single piece of wood, stained deep reddish-brown with an elephant or gecko cut into the base. Each has a natural hide head. The rosewood sheet-music clips from India are turned and inlaid with brass, sprung like a peg, shaped as a saxophone and a quaver. They hold sheet music open or pin a note to a board.

Because these are carved and turned by hand, each piece varies slightly in its proportions and finish. The frog guiros in particular will differ in the depth of their croaks and the spacing of their ridges.
