A bamboo root duck dressed as a beekeeper: white body painted with hand-detailed honeybees, a cylindrical white hat, and a fine net veil draped over the head. Carved in Bali from bamboo root, the form of each piece determined by the shape of the uncarved material. The natural wood shows through at the neck and feet, warm against the white. Sits on a shelf or mantelpiece.
