Acacia owl on branch carving, straight front view on white background showing feather detail and dark eyes

An owl carved from Rain Tree wood, perched on a branch stub set into a turned round base. The body is covered in layered feather scales; the eyes are wide and dark against the warm brown grain. Made near Chiang Mai in northern Thailand. Stands well on a bookshelf or side table. The base keeps it stable and gives it a little height.

Each piece is carved by hand, so grain, proportion and tone vary between examples.
