A bamboo root duck carved and hand-painted as a Christmas elf: green tunic with red zigzag collar and black belt, candy-stripe legs, red boots, and a soft fabric elf hat with a small brass bell at the tip. The beak and neck are left in natural root, warm against the painted body. Made in Bali, Indonesia. Stands at 26cm, the right height for a mantelpiece or the base of a tree.

Each one is carved and assembled by hand, so the pose and painted detail vary slightly between pieces.
