A bamboo root duck hand-painted in a red Christmas jumper with green zigzag trim and white snowflake detail, finished with a white fur collar and matching fur-trimmed slippers in the same festive pattern. The natural bamboo shows through at the neck, legs, and tail. Carved in Bali from bamboo root, the shape of each piece follows the form of the uncarved material.
Each duck is carved and painted by hand, so the pose and finish vary slightly between pieces.
