An elephant carved into solid Raintree, painted black with gold-lined edges, a red ceremonial cloth across its back worked with scrolling detail. The trunk curves upward. Made in northern Thailand, where the elephant is a long-standing motif in village woodcarving.
Solid and low to the ground. The wax-finished Raintree grain shows warm around the carved figure. Sits well as a side table or plant stand.
Each one is carved and painted by hand, so no two come out quite the same.
