A Green Man face relief-carved directly into a half-section of trunk, the surrounding bark left intact and rough against the pale, close-grained wood of the carving. Leaves radiate from the face in every direction, pressed flat and layered. Made in Indonesia, where this style of figurative relief carving has a long workshop tradition. Solid in the hand and substantial on a shelf, mantelpiece, or windowsill. The kind of piece that draws the eye and holds it.
Each section is cut from a different part of the trunk, so grain, bark texture, and proportion vary from piece to piece.
