A large bamboo root duck in an unfinished natural state, standing on a pair of carved lace-up boots. The pale, unvarnished surface shows the full texture of the root: fine pores, grain lines, and the slight variation in tone where the wood was densest. Carved in Bali from fast-growing bamboo root, each piece shaped by hand to follow the natural form of the material. Takes a stain or paint well if you want to finish it yourself, or leave it as it is.
