A full-sized bamboo root duck painted in bold rainbow stripes: red at the crown, running through orange, yellow, green, blue and deep violet at the legs and feet. The carver works from the shape of the uncarved root, so the stance, upright, leaning, mid-stride, is different on every piece. Made in Indonesia. At 31cm it stands tall on a mantelpiece or shelf and holds its own against other objects.
Each duck is carved from a different section of root, so the pose and proportions vary between pieces.
