A small bamboo root duckling painted in full rainbow stripes from bill to feet: red at the head running down through orange, yellow, green, blue and violet at the base. The carver reads the shape of the uncarved root to find the pose, so each duckling sits or stands differently. Made in Indonesia. Compact enough to fit on a desk or narrow shelf, solid enough to feel substantial in the hand.
Because the pose is drawn from the root itself, no two ducklings are the same shape.
