A yarn bowl turned from pale segmented wood, with a tree engraved into the outer wall and a carved spiral slot cut into the rim. The segmented construction gives the surface a parquet-like pattern in the grain. The slot feeds yarn through cleanly as you work, keeping the ball in the bowl and the tension consistent. Made in India, where turned woodware has a deep craft tradition. Smooth enough not to snag fine fibres, substantial enough to stay put.
