Mango wood Celtic cross box, three-quarter view on white background showing grain and engraving

A hinged box carved from mango wood with a Celtic cross engraved into the lid: the ring and arms cut cleanly into the grain, darkening at the edges where the tool has worked deepest. Two metal hinges at the back, solid and flat to the wood. Made in India, where mango wood carving and engraving is a well-established craft.

Deep enough for jewellery, a watch, or a small collection of things worth keeping. The grain varies across each piece, so no two lids look quite the same.
