A bamboo root duck carved with outstretched wings and painted white, with a gold star on the chest, gold-painted feet, and a small wire halo above the head. The natural bamboo shows through at the neck. Carved in Bali from bamboo root, the wings are shaped from the same piece of material as the body. Stands on a shelf or mantelpiece; part of the same festive series as the Snowman and Reindeer ducks.
Each piece is carved and assembled by hand, so the wing spread and stance vary slightly.
