Wooden angel puzzle box disassembled into three parts showing hidden interior compartment, Indonesia

A carved wooden angel that comes apart in three stages to reveal a hidden compartment inside. The outer form reads as a single abstract figure: wings spread, body solid, grain warm in the stained finish. Work through the sequence of moves and the compartment opens. Made in Indonesia in the tradition of the Japanese puzzle box, adapted here into an angel form.

Holds a small note, a ring, or anything that fits. Sits on a shelf as a carving when closed.
